8 Week Tuition: $290, includes unlimited access to the studio 7 days/week during open studio hours.
General Pottery - All Levels
Learn to create pieces using either handbuilding, throwing or a combination of both that can be used for either functional or sculptural work. Surface decoration techniques demonstrated will include applied texture, colored slips and glaze application. You are encouraged to let your instructor know of any project you may have in mind and it will be used to feed the class demonstrations. This class is designed for all skill levels.

Beginner & Intermediate Wheel and Hand Building
Learn to throw bowls, cylinders, vases and plates on the potter's wheel as well as the fundamentals of handbuilding techniques such as slab, pinch, coil and extrusion fabrication. Basic surface decoration and glazing techniques will also be demonstrated. Satisfy your curiosity and experience a fun and thorough introduction to ceramics.

Intermediate & Advanced Wheel and Hand Building
Practice and Refine your throwing and handbuilding techniques and develop your personal style that will make your work unique and recognizable. You are encouraged to communicate to your instructor your personal project and set of goals. It can be as diverse as throwing on a larger scale, making well fitted lids or elegantly balanced bottles or incorporating alteration techniques in your handbuilding or wheel thrown work. The instructor will demonstrate more advanced in surface decoration and glazing.

Observational Sculpture
This class will be focused on the power of observation and is based on working from models. Students will learn to sculpt anatomy figure such as heads, bust, feet etc, but also natural elements such as flowers, branches, or really anything you can come up with. Students can bring 3 Dimensional inspiration objects or pictures. The class will cover all techniques from slabs; pinch building and even wheel throwing in order to find the best way to sculpt a variety of forms that are properly built to fire successfully in a kiln. Specific projects are welcome!

Registration: $90 non-refundable deposit is required to register. The remaining balance payment of $200 is due July 8th, one week prior to the beginning of the session, at the latest, and is non-refundable after that.
Make-ups: Up to 2 missed classes can be made up during the same session if the student has given 24 hour prior notice he/she will miss a class.
Tools: Pottery tool kit is required and can be purchased for $15 at registration or on your first class.
Firing Fee: 4 cents/cubic inch covers bisque and glaze firing.

SIP & SPIN CLASS - New!
Tuition: $58/person
Friday night is for letting loose and relaxing! Couples, singles and friends come join us and get a little dirty while enjoying the wine or beer you brought in. This class can be repeated many times but gives you the freedom to register one class at a time. Our instructor will show and assist you with the basic techniques of the potter's wheel and will move on to more advanced projects if you are a repeat offender :) We will glaze and fire one piece at no extra cost. There is an extra $8 for any additional piece you may decide to get fired. The glaze color varies every week. We will contact you approximately 2 weeks after your workshop, when your work is ready to be picked up. Please register before the class as space is limited.

ONE DAY POTTERY CLASS - More Dates!
Pottery Workshop Tuition: $58
This workshop will introduce you to the basic skills of throwing on the potter's wheel. No prior experience is required. You will get to keep the bowl or cylinder you have successfully created. We will glaze and fired it for you with our glaze pick of the week and we will contact you approximately 2 weeks after the workshop when your piece is ready to be picked up. Additional work can be glazed and fire at an additional cost of $8/piece. A $20 credit will be given if you sign up for an 8 weeks session within four months of taking this one day workshop. Pre-registration is required as space is limited.

KIDS/FAMILY CLASSES
Kids Classes - Age 6 - 13 (Adult Participation Optional)
4 Week Tuition: $150
Choplet Ceramic Studio offers ceramics classes specially geared towards fun and artistic discovery.We offer expert instruction that will lead participants on the path of creative discovery. In our friendly and relaxed environment, your child will gain knowledge and confidence in the arts, while learning creative thinking. This class is opened to kids 6 to 13 years old. Parents are welcome to register and join the fun if they wish!

These classes are specifically geared for fun and artistic discovery for younger children and their mature classmate. Children will gain knowledge and confidence making art and tapping into their creativity. Classes will meet from 3:45-5:15pm each Tuesday. Adult must take class with child.

SUMMER CLAY CAMP - 2013 Dates!
We can add more sessions if there is demand! Students can enroll in one or multiple weeks.
Ceramic Day Camp Tuition: $290/week
Children and teens (ages 9 to 14) are invited to join a professional ceramic studio and explore the numerous possibilities clay has to offer, such as hand building, sculpting, tile/mosaic making, decorating and glazing, and wheel throwing. At our facility, students have the satisfaction of creating an artwork from scratch and bringing it to its final completion. Every day participants are encouraged to explore their creativity and begin a new project led by an accomplished artist.
