Adult Classes

Classes in all levels of wheel throwing, hand building, decorating, sculpture, glazing, tile/mosaic are offered in a fully equipped studio. All classes cover wheel throwing and hand building techniques.

The classes are kept small to allow for individualized attention and study within the group setting. We encourage mix levels & mixed interest classes to provide students with a better understanding of the wide range of possibilities clay has to offer.

Firing fees: 3 cents a cubic inch

Registration: $90 non-refundable deposit is required to register. The remaining balance payment of $200 is due one week prior to the beginning of the session at the latest and is non- refundable after that.
Make-ups: Up to 2 missed classes can be made up during the same session if the student has given notice he/she will miss a class.
Tools: Pottery tool kit is required and can be purchased at registration or on your first class for $15.
Firing fee: 3 cents/cubic inch covers bisque and glaze firing.

Pottery/Ceramic Day Camp

Choplet Ceramic Studio organizes week long CLAY CAMP when school is in recess.

Children and teens (ages 9 to 14) are invited to join a professional ceramic studio and explore the numerous possibilities clay has to offer, such as hand building, sculpting, tile/mosaic making, decorating and glazing, and wheel throwing. At our facility, students have the satisfaction of creating an artwork from scratch and bringing it to its final completion. Every day participants are encouraged to explore their creativity and begin a new project led by an accomplished artist.

We will meet Monday through Thursday from 9:30am to 1:30pm.
The 4 hours are organized through 3 hours class, half hour lunch break and half hour open studio time and clean up.

The price is $280/week and includes material and Firing fee. Tool set is needed and can be purchased at Choplet for $15. Students can enroll in one or multiple weeks.

Registration: $145 non-refundable deposit is required to register. Balance payment is due at the latest, one week prior to the beginning of the session and is non- refundable after that

Kids/Family Classes

Choplet Ceramic Studio offers ceramics classes specially geared towards fun and artistic discovery.We offer expert instruction that will lead participants on the path of creative discovery. In our friendly and relaxed environment, your child will gain knowledge and confidence in the arts, while learning creative thinking. This class is opened to kids 6 to 13 years old. Parents are welcome to register and join the fun if they wish!

Class meets every Saturday from 9:30-11:30AM for 4 weeks. The fee is $150. The next session starts Saturday, FEBRUARY 18.The dates for this session are 2/18, 2/25, 3/03, and 3/10.

Registration: $75 non-refundable deposit is required to register. Balance payment is due one week prior the beginning of the session at the latest and is non- refundable after that.
Tools: Pottery tool kit is required and can be purchased at registration or on your first class for $15.
Firing fee: 3 cents/cubic inch covers bisque and glaze firing.

Custom Classes & Private Lessons

If there is a class you want, but it doesn't fit your schedule, Choplet, can arrange a custom class that suits your skill level and your availability.

We just need 4 people to start a new class. Private instruction can also be arranged to really focus on your specific needs. Call us to design and plan your unique and unforgettable event.

Workshops

We offer guest artists, mold making, glaze chemistry, raku firing workshops during the year. Please refer to the Class/ Workshop Schedule to find the dates and theme of the next workshop.

Next MOLD MAKING WORKSHOP is Saturday JANUARY 28th and Sunday JANUARY 29th, 9am to 12:30pm each day.

The workshop fee is $190 for non-members, Discounted to $160 for current members.

Registration: $90 non-refundable deposit is required to register. Balance payment is due one week prior the workshop date.

Next RAKU WORKSHOP is Saturday MARCH 17th.

You can bring up to 8 pieces. The fee is $160 for the day. This workshop is limited to 10 people.

ONE-DAY POTTERY WORKSHOP!
Join us on Tuesday, FEBRUARY 28 from 7-9 pm for a one-day workshop at Choplet Ceramic Studio!Ý The workshop will give you a hands-on introduction to working with clay on the potter's wheel. No experience is necessary!
The cost of the workshop is $52 and will include instruction, clay, tools, towels, aprons, glaze, and firing.
A $20 credit will be given to participants who decide to register for an 8-week session within four months of taking this workshop (new students only).
Cancellation Policy: No refund after FEBRUARY 20th.
